Snodland Historical Society is very grateful to the Allen Grove Local History Fund, administered by the Kent Archaeological Society, for a grant of £250 towards the costs of an exhibition held in Snodland Millennium Museum April-September 2000 to commemorate the 200th anniversary of his birth. The grant has also assisted in the setting up of an archive devoted to Waghorn (the current state of which is detailed below). Items can be consulted at the Museum, which is currently open on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays, 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Some of them, particularly the pictures, may be on view as exhibits.
Snodland Historical Society pamphlet No. 12: Andrew Ashbee: Thomas Fletcher Waghorn (1800-1850) [48 pages; £2] [2000] gives a more detailed account of his life.
